Coached Long Swim

The set tonight will be coached by Coach Matt and Coach Graeme.  The focus is on the catch and aerobic swimming.  As well as front crawl we will also be doing some backstroke and breaststroke.

Please bring Pull buoys!

The drills will be Doggy Paddle, Sculling and 6-1-6 (more about rotation than catch!).

  • Doggy Paddle - note rotation and pulling back to belly button level
  • Sculling - note the way that when he drops his wrists, he goes backwards!  Also note the twisting of the hand to pull inwards and outwards
  • 6-1-6 - note tip to take a breath after the stroke and not before it
