Our cycling sessions at the Preston Park Velodrome enable you to improve your bike skills in a closed and safe environment. For beginners, these sessions are a brilliant way to build your bike handling skills and safety. For more experienced riders, they provide a great structure for intervals and speed work. Attending weekly will build your skills, confidence and fitness from one session to the next.

About the Venue

The Velodrome is a 579m flattish, tarmac circuit in the northeast corner of Preston Park. It’s the oldest velodrome in the United Kingdom, but don’t worry, the council has upgraded it in recent years! We’re very fortunate to have exclusive access to this historic venue every Saturday morning.

About the Session

We meet by the stand on the west side of the Velodrome. After a brief introduction, the coach will split you into groups and outline the session. The session may be focused on building your cycling confidence, skills or fitness, or a combination of all three.

Make sure you arrive and are ready to ride at least 5 minutes before the session starts.
