General

I understand and agree that I/my child participate in coaching sessions under the instruction of Triathlon England coaches entirely at my/his/her own risk. I have considered the nature of such sessions, have read the Sussex Tristars Statement on Safeguarding Children and the Brighton Tri Club Code of Conduct and Club Rules and understand them/have discussed them with my child. I am satisfied that I/they am/are sufficiently responsible and competent to assume full and entire responsibility for my/their own safety under the supervision of a Triathlon England coach.

for Parents of Tristars/Youth Members

I, being the parent/guardian of the child identified within this form, have read the information on this page and give consent for; (i) my son/daughter/child in my care to take part in the coaching sessions; (ii) my and my son's/daughter's/child in my care details entered on this form to be added to the Sussex Tristars and Brighton Tri Club database to be used by the Sussex Tristars team and coaches only and never to be passed onto any other organisation without your prior consent; (iii) my son/daughter/child in my care to be administered emergency first aid or medical treatment in emergencies without further consent and as deemed necessary by the coach or trained first aider on the scene; and (iv) the Sussex Tristars group and coaches to contact me via email, phone or letter in relation to my son/daughter/child in my care and the Sussex Tristars programme of training and events.

Privacy Policy
Brighton Tri Club will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide.

We collect personal data about you for our safety and club communications reasons. The information can include gender, location and historic attendance at our training sessions, workshops, or activities associated with club activities, this may consist of name, address, email, phone number.

Why
We need your contact details to keep you up to date with club activities and ensure they are safe and approproiate, medical information is collected to ensure a safe and appropriate training environment. We won't collect any information we do not need.

What
Apart from the data you give us when you signed up, name, address, date of birth, mobile, email, any relevant medical conditions, we may also store information relating to attendance at training and events, and as necessary to coach you effectively, athletic performance data and similar. We may also use photographs and video for internal club communications, no images will be used publicly without your consent. If you take up an optional England Athletics affiliation with Brighton Tri Club then your data will be shared with, shared by and processed by England Athletics. How
Personal data is securely processed and is held on secure servers. No 3rd parties have access to your data unless the law allows them to do so, except for England Athletics if you take up England Athletics affiliation via Brighton Tri Club. England Athletics privacy policy is here.

How long
Your information will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive any more updates or within 90 days of terminating your club membership. In the case of purchase any history we will hold your basic information for six years to comply with HMRC.

Your rights
If at any point you believe the information is incorrect you can access your information via your club membership account and update or delete it. You can also ask for any additional information, such as training data via email. If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated.
