Marathon effort from Bri Tri runners
/The Brighton Half Marathon is one of the cities biggest fixtures on the calendar and with the weather gods smiling kindly on the race, a strong contingent were out in force and enjoying this classic road run.
Against a backdrop of marathon madness, stubbed toes, sore backs and hurricane strength winds, Brighton Tri Club put out a strong bevvy of runners - almost as many entrants as there were threads on the forum!
Ian McLaren posted a big 1:22:01 PB which saw him place well, whilst speedy Will Taylor crossed the line in an impressive 1:18:something to earn himself a TV appearance.
Mona Sorensen continued her preparations for the World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen with an impressive 1:39:57. Jane Millar continues to demonstrate why she is the current holder of the 'Most Improved Runner' by completing the race with what looked suspiciously like a broken foot or toe having come a cropper with a turbo trainer. Ouch but well done you tough cookie.
