Pool Sessions - The club currently has two regular weekly pool swim sessions 8pm-9pm Tues & Thurs, Wadurs Swimming Pool, Kingston Broadway, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6TE. Pool location and details can be found on their website HERE, and a map HERE.
These sessions are 60-minute technique drills and intervals focusing on Critical Swim Speed. Please bring a water bottle, a pull buoy and fins if you have them. Wadurs has a professional lifeguard in attendance for all swim sessions. These cost £5 payable in cash on the door unless you pay for a block in advance - see Swim Blocks for more details.

Saturday’s 10.30am for an 11am start, duration 30-60mins. Note - these sessions are weather dependent, please check on Facebook for last minute updates.
We meet on the beach opposite the bandstand, at the lifeguard station (adjacent to the Birdcage Bandstand Café Bistro).
Coached sessions will have small groups of club members grouped based on confidence and abilities, led by a coach or experienced open water swimmer, Brighton Surf Life rescue will be on the water to provide safety cover. There will be a session plan which will focus on open water swimming techniques such as mass starts, drafting, sighting, turning around buoys, swimming in a pack, dealing with waves as well as swim fitness.
Coached sessions are wetsuit compulsory, however the Lead Coach may let you swim without a wetsuit if the conditions are suitable, but it is at their discretion.
Non-coached sessions are informal groups of club members getting in the sea to swim together.
Both sessions are free.
We recommend cycling to this location, please bring a bike lock. But there is parking on the sea front, adjacent streets and a car park five minutes walk away at Regency Square Car Park, Brighton BN1 2GG, there is no free parking in this area.
Swim Blocks - Swim blocks are available for either our Tuesday or Thursday swim sessions, plus a block that combines both.
How to buy Blocks
To buy the blocks you'll need to be logged in to your Clubs membership account, this uses the email and password that you set up when you joined the club. Can't remember which email you used? It's the one where you receive all your club emails, newsletters etc. If you need to you can reset your password.
The current swim blocks are available HERE.
Why buy a block?
Buying Swim Blocks saves you money compared with the on the door price and reduces the coaches time and effort. The Tues or Thurs block works out at only £4 per session, compared to the 'on-the-door' £5. You save even more by buying a Tues and Thurs combined block, at £3.80 a session.
Paying for your swimming in advance gives you additional motivation to get out there and swim!
There are a limited number of swim blocks to purchase for each of the Tuesday and Thursday sessions and members with blocks are given priority access to the pool, while those paying on the door will be let in on a first come, first served basis up to the maximum capacity. Secure your place by buying the block!
