Brighton Bike Hub Workshop
/Have you got a shed full of old bike parts you no longer use? Are you eyeing up an upgrade? Of course you are, triathletes do love a bit of kit! Or perhaps you are at the other end of the scale, newer to cycling and lacking confidence in how to look after your bike? Well, we are delighted to announce a new initiative in partnership with Brighton Bike Hub which will help you make space for that next purchase or help you give some TLC to the bike you’ve got!
Brighton Bike Hub will be hosting a bike maintenance session for the club. In return, we are encouraging all club members to support access to sport and active travel in our local community by donating parts or old bikes to this community project if they have them.
Bike maintenance session

How much will it cost? Nothing, the wonderful Brighton Bike Hub are putting this session on free of charge!
Sounds amazing, where do I sign up? When the new date is announced, you will be able to register for this workshop here: brightontri.org/book
Donating old parts or old bikes
How? Please give your old parts or bikes to Chris Doyle or Kevin Hancock. They will collect them and then pass them on to Brighton Bike Hub (Chris Doyle is a volunteer there)
When? You can usually find them at a training session, so that will make it super easy to donate smaller parts. For larger items, please DM either of them or speak to them at a training session to arrange handover. We will also arrange a week where one of them will be available at every single training session to take donations - details will be announced once diaries are organised!
There is also the offer of a further bike maintenance session in the New Year which will be followed by a session where club members can strip down old bikes to support and thank the Brighton Bike Hub project. This second session is likely to be a more advanced level, but is still being discussed, so details will be shared in due course. To learn more about the Brighton Bike Hub project, click here.
