One of the most popular and best local triathlons of the year. Brighton Tri Club normally brings 50-60 club members, organised into relay teams of three by our coaches, so it’s a really fun and social day out. The event is well known for being quite unusual (and slightly mad) in terms of race format, and therefore attracts a lot of attention and spectators!

Our coaches will put together a few competitive teams to race against other clubs for a spot on the podium, but most of our teams will be mixed to create groups of equivalent speed, making it an exciting competition amongst members and a great way to meet new people.

If you’re new to triathlon, this is a great first race since the distances are short:

  • 400m swim

  • 18.5km bike

  • 3.8km run

How it Works

Approximately 130 teams of three will be taking part, from very experienced athletes to those having a go for the first time. Each member of the team swims, cycles and then runs before handing over to the next member of the team. Team member No. 1 will take part in the mass swim start (400m), followed by the 18.5km cycle, and the 3.8km run before handing over to team member No. 2 who follows the same course and then hands over to team member No. 3. The team’s time will be calculated as team member No. 3 finishes the course.

Cancellation and Refunds

Brighton Tri Club will register three athletes at a time until the event sells out or the registration closes. If the race sells out or closes and we have unregistered athletes who have paid us to book a space, we will fully refund those athletes.

All sales that result in a registration are final as Raw Energy Pursuits do not offer refunds this close to the start of the event. Raw Energy Pursuits do not guarantee a refund if the event is cancelled. If you become unable to to participate please try to sell or donate your place to a club mate using our WhatsApp community.
