Arundel Awash with Blue & Gold

The bank holiday weekend hosted the second round of the inter-club Novice and Super Series Championships: Raw Energy Pursuit's Arundel Triathlon. Set in the historic Sussex town with beautiful views of the Castle, the Arundel triathlon is notorious for it's undulating bike course and gruelling run route. Arundel Triathlon offered both a Standard (800m/37k/9.25k) and a Sprint (400m/19k/5.26k) race.

A fantastic turnout from the Club meant there was Blue & Gold being spotted all over Arundel throughout the morning. Some excellent performances from all athletes, in both the Standard and the Sprint, as well as incredible support.

We are extremely proud that Leanne Garner, GB Age-Group Athlete and Brighton Tri Coach swept 1st Place in the Female Standard, in an incredible time of 2:13:26.

The next race on the Championship calendar is the Mid-Sussex Triathlon, 14th June. There are still places! So if you haven't already, go ahead and sign up!

We also have the Go Tri Pells Pool Series starting this week. Go Tri is a series of Aquathlon events and 2015 is the second year that Brighton Tri Club will be running them. New to this year are some kid races for children aged 8yrs and over. The series is suitable for anyone aged 8yrs+, whether a club member or not, who is up for doing a short swim followed by a short run - and enjoying a fun summers evening!
