Brighton Tri Club were out in full this morning at the Mid Sussex Triathlon. Hosted by the Mid Sussex Triathlon Club, the event at Burgess Hill is notorious for a fun, friendly atmosphere. With only a Sprint race on the table it was an even match for both the Club Championship Super Series & Novice Cup.
The Sprint which consisted of a 400m Pool Swim, 25km Bike and 5k Run was full of blue and gold. Throughout the course and especially on the run (which was an out and back) the club spirit spurred members on in the humid conditions.
Brighton Tri Club picked up some silverware in the age group awards with Kieran Green finishing as 1st (U20s), Paul McCarthy 1st (40-49) and 4th overall, and Kevin Hancock 1st (50+). All results are now available via the Mid Sussex website.
Congratulations to everyone who raced and a big thank you to those who came along to support. We now look forward to Worthing Triathlon, 26th July for the next Club Champs race. In the meantime...
Get involved with our #GoTri series. A great opportunity for training and wetsuit practice. As well as a wonderful way to spend a summers evening with your club and earn yourself a beer! The next one is on Wednesday 17th.
